The White Flower Cake Shoppe is busy this year. The custom cake retailer is opening a fourth location in Strongsville and moving its La Place Beachwood location to a larger space on Eton Chagrin Boulevard.
“Friends, I don’t know how on earth we ended up with not one, but two opportunities for expansion this year,” the owners posted on the company’s“Here’s the best part--both are already functioning as production kitchens and require barely any buildout. Which means we can get these new locations popping really soon for you guys.”
Owners Lauren Benz and Marianne Carroll met in junior high in Mentor. During college and after, each worked in various bakeries and out of their homes creating custom cakes for friends and family. They outgrew their homes, building a large customer base around Northeast Ohio. In 2006, they started The White Flower Cake Shoppe, a bakery specializing in custom wedding cakes, and cakes for all occasions.
