Who is Benjicot Blackwood in the House of the Dragon universe and when might we see him appear in the show?
Let's face it — being a House of the Dragon fan isn't exactly an easy gig. Simply keeping track of the horde of platinum blonde Targaryens is a major task. And then there are all of the other characters. The Sers, the Hands, the Maesters — let's put it this way: the lore goes deep. Unless you've read all of the George R. R. Martin books, chances are, you sometimes get just a little confused about who everyone is.
It seems likely that this war will take place this season. Benjicot's first appearance in the books is as an 11-year-old. When his father, Lord Samwell Blackwood, is killed in a battle during Dance of the Dragons, Benjicot becomes the Head of the Blackwell House and Lord of Raventree Hall. Benjicot, like his father, supports Rhaeyra's claim to the Iron Throne and fights alongside the blacks throughout the civil war.
