The World Health Organisation is reviewing a report that suggested its advice on the novel coronavirus needs updating, after some scientists said there was evidence the virus could be spread by tiny particles in the air.
The number of US coronavirus deaths exceeded 130,000 on Monday, local time, following a surge of new cases that put President Donald Trump's handling of the crisis under the microscope and derailed efforts to restart the economy.
Sixteen states have posted new record daily case counts this month.
