The need to self-isolate after testing positive for Covid-19If you have Covid symptoms, you should do a PCR test and self-isolate until you have the result.
Anyone who tests positive should self-isolate for 10 days. The day you test positive - or the day symptoms began if earlier - is day zero. The next day is day one of self-isolation. You can take an LFT on the fifth full day of isolation. If it's negative, and you test negative again 24 hours later, you can leave self-isolationIf you are fully vaccinated you should take an LFT.
If it's negative you don't need to isolate, but should take daily LFTs until the tenth day after your last contact.Close contacts who aren't fully vaccinated should self-isolate for the full ten days.
