Parents should also avoid posting the full name of their children and consider that images of kids in their school uniform could identify which school they attend, Commander Sirec said. "We have seen some offenders go to great lengths to gain access to children and in some instances, online grooming has started with information that parents and carers have shared online."Sharing images of identified children in school uniform can help reveal to potential predators which school they attend.

"We all need to remember that in the digital age, that is the equivalent of posting information and images of children online without the appropriate safeguards."Keep your child's personal information including full name and age private
