Channel Seven’s mass staff exodus has continued with reports the struggling broadcaster has fired its top management leaving just chairman Kerry Stokes and his righthand man Jeff Howard “the lone survivors”.
Kerry Stokes and Seven Chief Executive Jeff Howard have emerged as “the lone survivors” of the latest wave of staff redundancies at the struggling broadcaster which saw most of the remaining management team sacked.
“Already, chief executive James Warburton was gone and its head of legal, Bruce McWilliam, and its head of news, Craig McPherson. The “bloody” exodus is reportedly far from over with trade publication AdNews speculating that up to 100 more employees are staring down redundancy as Seven slashes costs.“The lone survivor apart from major shareholder Kerry Stokes - who's the chairman of course - is the former chief financial officer Jeff Howard, who's now chief executive,” Mr Greenwood said.
