Why I would rather be watching Newcastle United then England nufc
Like a lot of Newcastle United fans, I am not nearly as excited about the prospect of England playing in a World Cup quarter final, as I would be if it was Newcastle United playing in the quarter final of a major competition.Newcastle United fans normally display a mixture of passion and good humour, generally creating a favourable impression wherever they go, the same cannot be said about many England fans.
One of the ‘advantages’ of this World Cup being in Qatar, has been the fact that alcohol is expensive and not always available, and also the England fans haven’t travelled there in large numbers.One of the best things that England did in recent years, was playing at different grounds around the country when Wembley was being developed, but now their back at their ‘natural home’.is a far better ground than Wembley.
Visitors to Newcastle also often remark on the friendliness of the locals, which is not something that’s often said about Londoners., when all we ever wanted was a team that played with passion and a club that showed some ambition.I know a lot of England fans think that we’re one of the leading nations in the world game…but the last time this was true was probably back in 1970.
