Margaret Stuart, head of Corporate and External Relations at Nestlé Oceania, said the "the time has come" to say goodbye to the beloved treat.Nestlé confirmed they would cease producing their once-popular film-themed caramel lollies. The need for significant upgrades to the Melbourne confectionery factory along with declining sales led to the decision."And we have run into trouble with old equipment. So the time has come.Stuart assured Australians another beloved lollie - Minties - isn't going anywhere.
"We have invested in new equipment for Minties. It's made just outside Melbourne," she said, adding they are more popular than Fantales.
