As Somalia celebrates years of its special relationship with Turkiye, cultural exchange thrives through filmmaking and drama
Visit of Turkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in 2011 was the first by non-African leader to Somalia in over 20 years.
Hashi added, "Turkish dramas will be translated into Somalia to ensure the cultural exchange between the two countries thrives.” Demand for learning the Turkish language among young people, especially women and girls, has more than doubled this year because of the Turkish film industry.
