Vitamin mogul Marcus Blackmore says he’s been convinced by Northern Territory senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price and thinks Anthony Albanese needs a better salesman.
says he will vote no on the Voice to parliament and has criticised Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s sales pitch and declared full support for Northern Territory senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price’s campaign against the referendum.
“I have not been convinced by the prime minister or anybody else that I should vote yes. It’s no different to business. If you’re no good at sales, employ a salesman.”Mr Blackmore, whose father Maurice Blackmore founded the powerhouse vitamins business in the 1930s, has donated $35,000 to Advance, formerly known as Advance Australia.Senator Price’s campaign for a Northern Territory senate seat.
“I don’t sit here reading the Constitution every day. I understand the purpose of it and I understand that any change has to be significantly approved by the rest of the population. Otherwise, the whole thing doesn’t have meaning,” he said. Campaign director Dean Parkin said: “Recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Australia’s Constitution has been discussed in political circles very intensely in recent months.
