Josselyn Berry was the press secretary for Gov. Katie Hobbs, the recently elected Democratic governor of the Grand Canyon State. A transgender man targeted a Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee, killing six people, including three children. In the aftermath of that attack, Berry thought it was appropriate to tweet out a gif of a woman holding two guns with the caption, “Us when we see transphobes.

As a result of this, Hobbs issued just a four-sentence statement about how the post “is not reflective of the values of the administration.” The Washington Post published just a two-paragraph blurb on the resignation. The New York Times has not covered it, nor has NBC News, CBS News, ABC News, or CNN.
