Te'o has been training alongside Brisbane's fringe players in anticipation of a deal being struck. He was a Queensland Origin player during his past rugby league stint, which spanned 152 NRL games, and played Test rugby for England - but it may not be an easy reintroduction to the 13-man code.
Brisbane were meant to be rolling towards their first premiership since 2006 by now, off the back of these forwards. Yet NRL champion Paul Gallen reckoned in pre-season that they could just as easily miss the top eight, having been smashed 58-0 in their one-and-done finals campaign last year. That combined with other hyped talents has not yet translated to a convincing premiership force. Immortal Wally Lewis believes that Te'o can make the Broncos a more legitimate contender."There'll be a fair bit of trust there, he's been there, done that at all levels. He's been quite a comfortable player and performer for the Broncos.
