The World Health Organisation has chosen not to declare a Global Health Emergency as the Coronavirus continues to spread.
Chinese authorities have stepped up efforts to contain the outbreak, which first emerged in the city of Wuhan.
Professor Tania Sorrell is the Director of the Marie Bashir Institute for Infectious Diseases and Biosecurity at Sydney University.“It means that there is obviously a serious problem but to declare a global health emergency in general there has to be significant spread outside of the original country of origin,” she said.About ABC NEWS on radio
