Tens of thousands of people have been left without power in Sydney and Newcastle after a freak storm swept through the two cities.
SailGP’s planned events for Sunday will no longer be going ahead as a result of the weather.
“As far as we know, no one was seriously injured during the incident. As a result of the damage, SailGP has had to cancel racing for the second day of the Sydney event.”
