A severe weather warning for damaging winds has been issued for southern New South Wales today as a powerful storm system moves north.
The powerful weather system is now moving into southeast NSW. Damaging wind gusts of up to 90km/h are expected today for many parts of the region.Southern New South Wales is heading for a day of high winds, with gusts expected to reach 90km/h. "In the wake of a cold front that crossed the state last night strong west to south westerly winds with damaging wind gusts are likely over elevated areas near Thredbo as well as parts of the Illawarra, South coast, Goulburn and Katoomba," the bureau said today.There are also strong marine wind warnings for the Illawarra Coast, Batemans Coast and Eden Coast.Meanwhile, residents in Victoria are starting cleaning up after the storms.
