Queensland Parks and Wildlife rangers are investigating the death of a dingo on Queensland's heritage-listed island, K'gari. A man allegedly used a speargun to kill the dingo that was lingering around his campsite.

The man contacted the department the following day to report the dingo's death, and rangers say he has been assisting them with their investigation.
