Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been separated for seven years, according to Jada in a recent interview with People.
In a profile on Smith, Jada spoke about the infamous Oscars moment where Will Smith slapped Chris Rock on stage. In the story, she revealed that she and Will have actually been separated since 2016, six years prior to the Oscars incident.
“We’re still figuring it out,” Jada said. “We’ve been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us.”, Jada was asked about why the couple had decided against sharing their status.
