Could the hit series get a second season? Netflix's quest for more Squid Game could be tricky.
The nine-episode thriller centers on 456 debt-ridden people who are recruited to play a series of children’s games for the chance at winning 45.6 billion won . Consequences of losing, say, a game of Red Light, Green Light or tug-of-war are immediate death. In the end, it is Player 456, Seong Gi-hun , who emerges victorious, although his triumphant feelings don’t last long.
The short answer is…maybe. “In my earlier days, I’d drink half a bottle of soju to get the creative juices flowing. I can’t do that anymore,”
