Prince William has arrived at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey alongside Queen Camilla and other royals - hours after Kate Middleton apologised for “confusion” over the family pic released on Mother's Day
The Prince of Wales has stepped out for the first time since controversy over a picture of his wife, Kate Middleton, and children began. William accompanied Queen Camilla and other members of the royal family as they celebrated Commonwealth Day, the annual celebration of the Commonwealth of Nations, with a Service of Celebration at London's Westminster Abbey, followed by a reception at Marlborough House.
As Camilla approached, William was seen to say “hello” to his stepmother before moving forward to kiss her on both cheeks. They smiled and chatted as they stood side by side ready for the national anthem to be played. Many fans also took to social media to point out discrepancies in the snap, such as blurry features and a mismatch in Princess Charlotte's sleeve.
However, it appears that William is brushing off the scandal and carrying out his royal duties as usual for Commonwealth Day, one of the most important events in the royal calendar. The ceremony will fittingly focus on resilience.
