Fox is sending celebrities to “Mars” for its latest competition series. The network has ordered ‘Stars on Mars’ with ‘Star Trek’ star William Shatner, who recently became the oldest man sent to space, serving as Mission Control
The series will see a group of celebrities prepare for take-off to the red planet, where they will live, eat, sleep, strategize, and bond with each other in the same space station.
During their stay, they will be faced with authentic conditions that simulate life on Mars, and they must use their brains and brawn – or maybe just their stellar social skills – to outlast the competition and claim the title of brightest star in the galaxy. The celebrities will compete in missions and will vote to eliminate one of their crewmates each week, sending them back to Earth.is produced by Holey Moley producer Eureka Productions, whose Chris Culvenor created the format.
“Good news for our celebronauts from Mission Control,” added Shatner. “Thanks to lower gravity on Mars, you’ll weigh 62% less. Bad news: the air is unbreathable, so if you’re from LA, it’ll remind you of home.”

Fox shareholder sues Rupert Murdoch, other directors over 2020 election coverageA Fox Corp shareholder sued Chairman Rupert Murdoch and four other board members on Tuesday, saying they failed to stop Fox News from reporting falsehoods about the 2020 U.S. presidential election that damaged its credibility and prompted lawsuits. Shareholder Robert Schwarz alleged in the lawsuit filed in Delaware Chancery Court that the directors breached their duties to ensure that Fox followed its own ethical standards and avoided reputational risk, and instead sought to keep supporters of former U.S. President Donald Trump tuned in.
