News Corp Columnist David Penberthy says Wimbledon’s decision to ban Russian competitors is not unfair.
The All England Lawn Tennis Club issued a statement on Wednesday confirming “with deep regret” it would decline entries from Russian and Belarusian players to The Championships 2022 over the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
“I reckon telling the Russians, in no uncertain terms … showing that that comes with huge moral consequences for everybody in Russia as well, is I think a valid tool for what should hopefully, down the track, be actual regime change,” he told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
