The Bureau of Meteorology has warned of damaging winds that could bring down trees and power lines in the state.
Destructive winds of up to 130km/h could lash parts of the state this week, with the weather bureau warning strong gusts could bring down power lines and trees.
Meteorologist Miriam Bradbury said Victoria would experience a “prolonged period of unsettled weather” because of a cold front sweeping the state.Winds would start to pick up from Tuesday afternoon, with the possibility of damaging gusts developing over south-west Victoria and heading east, Bradbury said.Eddie Jim
The unsettled and windy conditions would continue for the rest of the week, with bursts of stronger winds.
