Here's what's next for Winter Storm Diaz:

Winter Storm Diaz is producing snow and strong winds in the Northern Plains and upper Midwest right now.

I​ce storm warnings are also posted in northwest Virginia, northeast West Virginia, western Maryland and a small part of west-central Pennsylvania. These areas could see damaging ice accumulations.Snow and gusty winds could last through Thursday or even Friday from the Dakotas into Minnesota as well as parts of Iowa, Wisconsin and northern Michigan, diminishing slowly from west to east.

M​any areas could see six or more inches of additional snow, and totals of more than foot are possible in northeast Minnesota and northern Wisconsin. You can see the additional totals to expect through Friday on the map below.Diaz will bring snow and some ice to parts of the East as the week comes to a close.
