Catholic Church announced Wednesday that it will close its elementary school following the spring semester. The school, at 141 Grove Place in Alamo Heights, was founded in 1926 by the Sisters of the Incarnate Word. It teaches kindergarten through eighth grade.
"As you know, enrollment numbers have been critical and the condition of the elementary school facility has been a source of great concern," Campos-Covarrubias wrote."With a heavy heart, I need to inform you that the subsidies by which the parish has been supporting the school have reached an unsustainable level."
