Term two started for Victorian schools yesterday, but some specialist schools that teach children with disabilities say they don't have the personal protective equipment staff need to reduce the risk of spreading coronavirus.

Principals say they need PPE to keep specialist schools running

Mr Peverett said yesterday his school was able to open safely for two students, with all other students learning from home."At the moment we have just got the regular PPE we would be using for our attendant care of the students, the toileting and feeding, which is basically just plastic gloves but we don't have anything additional as far as face masks or face shields or anything like that," he said.
