In flawless art from rdauterman, Wolverine's daughter Laura Kinney makes it clear her new Talon codename is here to stay. There are currently two Lauras in X-Men comics - the aged-up original and her younger clone, who will keep the Wolverine name.

Wolverine's daughter Laura Kinney - the former X-23 - celebrates her official new codename in jaw-dropping art courtesy of artist Russell Dauterman. Aged-up by hundreds of years, Laura recently took on an official new persona, and Marvel is making sure that fans know the change is permanent.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Wolverine's Daughter Becomes TALON Laura was originally believed to be a clone of Wolverine, but was later discovered to be his biological daughter. Recently, she underwent a dangerous mission into the Vault - the stronghold of the Children of the Vault, inside which time passes at a far faster rate. Laura was initially believed to have died inside the Vault, leading the X-Men to resurrect her from her last memory back-up.

Superhero identity changes are a dime a dozen, but Marvel is sending signals to fans that the Talon change will be permanent. The older Laura is her own character with unique experiences and memories, and so has nowhere to 'go' in terms of changing her new name. The fact that she's received a trading card cover under the Talon identity also suggests it's here to stay.
