Woman arrested for ‘murder’ after female victim found dead in home

A 25-YEAR-OLD woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a female in her 40s was found dead in a house., at around 8pm on Tuesday following concerns for welfare.They discovered the female victim at the scene on Station Road and threw up a cordon as a murder investigation got underway.

Formal identification is yet to take place but the victim's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: "An investigation has been launched following the death of a woman in Petersfield.
