Cumbria Police say the man suffered serious injuries
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after a man fell from a bridge onto the railway tracks.
British Transport Police were alerted to the incident in the early hours of March 16. Paramedics were also called to the scene in Market Street, Flookburgh, and the man was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary. Police said that a 33-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. She has since been bailed.A spokeswoman for Cumbria Police said: "Police were called by the North West Ambulance Service at 00:46am on March 16 to the report of a man having fallen off a bridge at Market Street, Flookburgh. The man was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary with serious injuries.
"A 33-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and released on police bail." BTP Lancashire @BTPLancs tweeted: “In the early hours we received a report a man had fallen from a road bridge onto the railway in #Flookburgh. He was taken by ambulance to hospital to be treated for his injuries.
