Police are hunting for the driver of a car who mercilessly mowed down a 60-year-old woman on Sunday night and fled the scene

Medics describe her condition as "critical" and the road has been closed while officers continue to carry out an investigation into the hit and run. Police have urged anyone who may have been in the area to contact police as soon as possible as they could hold information vital to tracing the driver.
Chief Inspector Vinnie Fisher, Local Area Commander said: “We are appealing for the assistance of the public in tracing the vehicle involved and its driver as soon as possible. Our enquiries have established that there were three cars seen in the area at the time of the crash. Top news stories today “I would directly appeal to the driver of the vehicle who struck the woman to do the right thing and come forward. We are keen to gather any dash-cam footage and would urge anyone who was driving in this area around the time of the incident on Sunday night to contact us.
