Maira Cappiello says she felt alone despite being in the centre of town when the alleged assault occurred on Wednesday morning.
A woman who was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 10-year-old boy says she felt alone despite being in the centre of town in broad daylight.
"I reacted and turned around to see who was doing it and it seemed like everyone was minding their own business, so I couldn't understand what was happening.The boy has since been charged with one count of sexual assault, common assault and assault occasioning bodily harm whilst in company.As a result of her confronting the boy, a group of other young people entered the scene.As things escalated, she said she warned the group that she was calling the police.
A female associate was also apprehended but has also been engaged with restorative justice and released.
