Woman arrested after police spot Mini being driven with tyre 'just about hanging on'

A woman was arrested after police spotted a Mini being driven with no front tyre, and with one of the back tyres 'just about hanging on'.

Traffic cops stopped the driver on Hale Road, in Hale, on Friday evening . The driver, a female, then provided a breath sample at the roadside of 82 - with the legal limit being 35. She was arrested and later taken into custody, where police said she failed to provide a sample. No further details about the incident were given.Greater Manchester Police went on to share an image of the car at the side of the road. It shows car with no front offside tyre on the drivers side along with a badly damaged back tyre, coming away from the wheel.

In a tweet, GMP Traffic wrote: "This Mini was sighted on Hale Rd, Hale last night being driven by a female with no front offside tyre and the rear offside was just about hanging on. "The driver was stopped and provided a breath sample of 82. She was arrested but later failed to provide a sample in custody."
