The British Transport Police has launched a probe into the incident on the train on Saturday, August 26.

A woman was left 'covered in blood' after a disturbance on a train full of rugby fans following Scotland's victory against Georgia at Murrayfield.

Footage shows officers boarding the train at Haymarket in the capital city and hauling several people into the station, reports Edinburgh Live. The British Transport Police confirmed that officers were called to a report of a fight between two men who subsequently had their details taken while enquiries into the incident continue. One bystander can be heard saying she 'couldn't believe what she was seeing' and reported how the train was "rammed" with people "screaming and shouting" before a woman "covered in blood" emerged.

"A woman started shouting and there were lots of tussling and shouting. The police arrived and a girl was taken off covered in blood and crying, and the fight continued on the platform with the police trying to calm it down. It was the perfect storm with drunk people on a busy train clearly at capacity. There shouldn’t have been that many people allowed on, it was dangerous."
