A woman has died in Sydney’s west on Sunday night, with police Tasering a man at the scene who was allegedly armed with a knife.
Emergency services were called to a home on Wattle Street in Bankstown at 7pm after reports of a small fire at the property.
The 67-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene. She was yet to be formally identified on Monday morning. The man, who police say was known to the woman, was taken to Bankstown Police Station. He was later transferred to hospital for assessment.
