A woman was taken to hospital after a terrifying fall through part of Blackpool's Central Pier, sparking fears for her life. The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, was on the pier when she fell through and landed below. Her injuries are currently unknown, but she was quickly transported to hospital for treatment.
A beachgoer, present with his children, told Manchester Evening News: "I was walking the beach with my kids and heard a thud. A huge thud next to me nearly on top of my head.""A lady ploughed to the floor, smashing through the Central Pier. I was absolutely terrified... I thought she was dead."
