Police say Samantha Kelley locked herself in a car belonging to the woman she had just attacked before officers arrived.
A Morgantown woman is accused of using hedge clippers to attack a woman and her father after the burglary of a Berks County home last week, according to police.
A 22-year-old woman, not identified by police, arrived at her Caernarvon Township home during the morning hours of Oct. 26, and noticed her home had been broken into, police said.While she was waiting, police say Samantha Kelley, 34, approached the younger woman and started a confrontation.Kelley then used a pair of hedge clippers to beat the woman on the head, police said. The woman’s father arrived and confronted Kelley, who responded by hitting the man with the hedge clippers several times.
Kelley jumped into the woman’s car and locked herself inside, police said. When officers arrived, they took her out of the vehicle and arrested her after a brief struggle. Charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, burglary, and other related charges, Kelley was placed in Bucks County Jail on $100,000 monetary bail,
