Man remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries after explosion in Midlands on Sunday evening
A woman has been found dead after a house explosion in Birmingham, while a man remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A West Midlands ambulance service spokesman said: “Members of the hazardous area response team worked with firefighters to search the damaged property and sadly discovered one person.Neighbours reportedly climbed over burning debris to help a man who was in the property at the time of the blast, and he suffered “very significant injuries”, the ambulance service said.
West Midlands fire service said it believed the blast, which could heard two miles away, was a gas explosion.
