A woman was found in a Jersey City street with multiple lacerations early Monday morning, authorities said. Jersey City police did not provide any details about the incident that was reported at 3 a.m. on Amity Street, near Fairmount Avenue and Grand Street. Police said in radio transmissions that the victim was “beat up pretty badly.”

The 45-year-old woman suffered lacerations to the left side of face, chin, and left hip, Jersey City spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said.
