A woman was left horrified after discovering her Christmas tree was infested with mystery bugs that kept reappearing despite sucking them up in the vacuum cleaner. The woman ended up with more than she bargained for after deciding to buy a real tree for the festive season this year.
In response, people were quick to try and offer advice, with many suspecting the bug pictured could be an aphid. One commenter wrote: "Looks like the giant willow aphid, I had them on a tree in my garden and was a nightmare to get rid of them! I would take the tree back! Good luck." Meanwhile, other viewers shared their own horror stories. "We had a tree with a full infestation one year and a laminate floor...never realised until I saw the dog licking the floor to death," read one reply.
