A woman has appeared in court accused of carrying out a serious assault in Aberdeen early on Tuesday morning

Aberdeen Live reports a 33-year-old woman is in hospital after an alleged attack on Hutcheon Street in the early hours of May 30. Police closed the A944 Hutcheon Street for several hours after the incident. The victim was taken Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment where medics described her condition as "serious".
Candice Seers appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday. The 36-year-old is charged with committing assault to severe injury, danger of life and attempted murder.Top news stories today A sheriff committed Seers for further examination she issued no plea and has been remanded in custody. She is due to appear in court again in the next eight days.
A 37-year-old man was previously arrested in connection with the incident but later released without charge.Read Next:
