Woman in her 80s critically injured after collision with police motorcycle in west London
The Metropolitan Police said the police motorcycle collided with the pedestrian at around 3.21pm on Wednesday at the junction of Cromwell Road and Warwick Road, SW5, while on escort duties.
Emergency workers from the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended the scene, and the woman was taken to hospital.No other injuries were reported in the incident and inquiries into the crash are ongoing.The Directorate of Professional Standards, which investigates officers' conduct, has been informed as is routine, the Met said.
