A Warrior man's death originally was believed to be caused by an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound, but the investigation leads to a murder charge against an Empire woman.
Few details have been made available about Durante’s death, but his obituary listed his date of death as May 8, 2021.
Sheriff Mark Moon said the original shooting was reported as an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigator Chad Long did an extensive investigation which led to the murder warrant against Jones.
