A Melbourne woman has shared the shocking moment her bare foot got caught on a Gold Coast amusement ride. Pippa Sutherland, 22, posted a TikTok video of the incident on the Slingshot Surfers Paradise amusement ride last month. In the video, which has been viewed more than five million times, Sutherland can be seen sitting on the ride in bare feet before her foot catches on a metal pole under her seat as the ride comes back to its start position.
She said she had “sprained” her toes. “Lord, that looks painful,” one person commented on the video. “Ouch!! Make sure you claim on their insurance to cover any rehab or costs, just in case the injury causes a long-term issue,” another person said, while another commented they could “literally see her say ‘my foot’s stuck, my foot’s stuck’.” “I would be taking the ride handler to court.
