A Victorian woman waiting for her Australia Post parcel says the package has been needlessly transferred between different facilities more than five times. She said the parcel, shipped from the sender two weeks ago, was first processed at Melbourne Airport, then travelled to a second facility in Melbourne before making its way to Abbotsford.

It then travelled to another facility in Melbourne before heading back to Abbotsford, then on to another Melbourne facility. “I’m not getting my package, am I?” the woman asked in a social media post. “AusPost incorrectly entered the address to one that doesn’t exist,” she claimed. “ updated to a parcel locker around the corner because I thought that would be more convenient anyway. “Almost two weeks later, it’s just bouncing around different warehouses in Melbourne.” The parcel is a dress valued at approximately $50, the woman said. “So no big deal really, just a little frustrating but also amusing,” she said. “I’ve never had this bad an experience with AusPost.” After two weeks of waiting, the woman lodged a complaint with Australia Post. Social media users were stunned by the parcel’s journey. “That’s pretty incompetent,” one person said. “Going around in circles,” another joked. But others said this seemed like normal Australia Post behaviour. “Yeah. You’ll get it,” one person said. “This is ‘normal’.” Some users shared their similar experiences. “I had a package doing ping pong and then go missing,” one user said. “Judging by the postcodes, they misread a printed five as a six, and no one ever figured it out. The sender refunded me.” “ once had a package coming, was at my local Post Office about to be out for delivery then the next day I checked, it’s in Perth,” another person said. “I live an hour from Sydney.” “I just had something from Brisbane show up today,” another person said. “Ordered on the 27th of December.” Australia Post responds Australia Post told 7NEWS.com.au it was in contact with the customer and was “working to deliver her parcel as quickly as possible”. “Australia Post successfully delivers more than nine million parcels each week,” the company said. “If customers do notice any unusual tracking activity for their parcel, they should get in touch with us without delay by calling 13 POST . “We also remind parcel senders to make sure they carefully remove any old barcodes and labels from their packaging and make sure there is a clear distinction between delivery and sender addresses.”
