The suspect, Linda Burton, reportedly told police she had been thinking about shooting her husband for the last few days.
Burton was then taken into police custody and was questioned about what had happened at the home. Burton said she took her husband's .380 handgun from his vest, went into the room and shot him one time in the back of the head.and confronted Burton and tried to grab the gun, according to police.
Burton reportedly admitted to investigators that she had thought about shooting her husband for several days. She added that she was upset because she thought her husband hacked her bank account. with a deadly weapon. The Tulsa Police Department specified that, at this stage, this is an arrest, and there has been no conviction.In August of 2021, The Tulsa Police Department admitted that they have seen an increase in gun violence in the city. They also used this moment to highlight that they are working with the mayor of Tulsa, G.T. Bynum, to curb this spike in violence.
"The special investigations division of the Tulsa Police Department is in charge of investigating many of the shootings, particularly the gang-related incidents.
