A warrant has been issued for a woman charged with killing her one-year-old son in an outback car crash.
Morphett Vale woman Nadia Khan was expected to appear in the Port Augusta Magistrates Court on Monday to answer the charge of death by dangerous driving, but did not appear. SA Police said the 28-year-old was the driver of a car that rolled on the Stuart Highway, between Coober Pedy and Glendambo, in February 2018.
The police prosecutor told the court, when investigators arrived at the scene, Ms Khan identified the body of her son who had been thrown from the vehicle.The woman was then transferred to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.Magistrate Rodney Oates ordered the warrant and allowed police to consider bail.
