A 25-year-old woman tells a court she was kicked, punched, covered with pepper spray and 'shoved in the neck with a taser' by police officers, who are accused of making up a case against her.
A woman has described being treated "like a dog" while she was allegedly attacked by two police officers in Western Sydney, a court has heard. The court heard she sustained a black eye and cuts to her wrist in the alleged incidentAnya Bradford, 25, was with a friend when she attended the Railway Hotel in Liverpool shortly before she was due to meet with her parole officer.
But when Ms Bradford — who is transgender — tried to leave, she was stopped by two police officers before a scuffle broke out near the ATM. Ms Bradford gave evidence before Magistrate Michael Crompton at the Downing Centre about the day she was allegedly attacked by police."I remember my head being slammed against an ATM multiple times — I was shoved in the neck with a taser."
"I couldn't see, I was blind, it was all over my body, I felt like I was on fire, all I remember was then being tackled by the bigger officer [Follington]," she said. "The larger officer picked me up by the handcuffs, like I was on a leash, like I was a dog, then he dragged me out ... laughing," she said.
