Young woman who claimed grooming gang abused her in Blackpool was eating Pot Noodle alone in Savoy Hotel, court hears
A woman who claimed to have been pimped around Blackpool by an Asian sex trafficking ring was really holed alone up in a hotel on the seafront eating pot noodles and watching BBC iPlayer on her phone, a jury was told.
She claimed Rammi was a ruthless human trafficker who groomed her into having sex with multiple men. She said there were 15 people who arranged sex parties where the men were invited to bid for the girls. Williams also told police the girls were forced to have sex with multiple men under threat of violence.
At 11pm on July 1, Williams was found by police sitting outside Preston Railway Station. She was taken to Kendal Police Station and spoke to Det Insp Nutter in the early hours of the following morning. She said she was taken to a car park in a black Seat Ibiza where Rammi was violent and threatened her that she would be thrown in the sea and killed if she did not pass a test. If she passed they would let her go, but if she failed she would be ‘murdered and disposed of’, she told police.
The investigation revealed Williams had made a reservation at the Savoy Hotel on the Promenade through the website booking.com, two days before she claimed Shaggy Wood had contacted her. CCTV showed her walking alone to the hotel and checking in before walking to a local Co-op and returning to the hotel.
