Woman who fell from Three Sisters waterfalls identified as Ladera Ranch resident [Breaking]
The 48-year-old woman who died after falling from a ledge at Three Sisters waterfalls in the Descanso area was identified as a Ladera Ranch resident, the Medical Examiner’s Office said.
The incident happened June 8 shortly before 10 a.m. while Sarah Louise Crocker and a teen girl — a family friend — were in the middle pool of the falls, the office said. Crocker reached out to assist the teen, lost her footing and both fell over the waterfall’s edge to the bottom pool, according to the Medical Examiner.Bystanders who saw the fall tried to assist, and when firefighters arrived, they moved Crocker to the trail head, officials said. She died at the falls. Ladera Ranch, where she was from, is northeast of San Juan Capistrano.
The 15-year-old teen was taken to a hospital with serious injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening.
