As people around the world rally in support of Ukraine, many women seek guidance as to how they can use their resources to help Ukrainian women from afar.
on the streets of her hometown, people around the globe are bearing witness to the profound pain and cruelty of this moment as much as they are witnessing the courage and resilience of Ukrainian women and girls.women and children suffer the most at the hands of war.
With this knowledge, it is critical that women seeking to help Ukrainian women in this moment, do so quickly and effectively, mobilizing resources to local gender justice leaders in Ukraine however possible. The importance of giving and showing up in this way was echoed in a statement released today by The Global Fund for Women. In which they shared that they themselves
“are committed to listening to the needs of local gender justice organizations and collectives in Ukraine”As global witnesses to a cruel and unnecessary war in Europe at this time, it is natural to feel helpless. But, equipped with simple ideas and avenues to give and act out of empathy, love and concern, women everywhere can support the women of Ukraine and feel connected that we all have, in some small way, done our part to show up in sisterhood.
