In the medieval world of Dark Knights of Steel, Wonder Woman leaves the Amazons to prevent a bloody war between King Jefferson and the House of El - one her partner Zara Jor-El is all too happy to start.

Recently, Wonder Woman has finally made her true debut in the latest issue of DC's Dark Knights of Steel, gaining an epic new role as she seeks to prevent an all-out war of kingdoms in the face of a dark prophecy.

Previously in Dark Knights of Steel from Tom Taylor and Yasmine Putri, John Constantine has a prophetic vision that would see demons taking over the world, a prophecy King Jefferson took as a sign that the Kryptonians who fell from the sky before ruling their own kingdom would bring devastation to the realm.

While Wonder Woman effectively commits treason in this issue, her intentions are as noble as they come. However, the issue does end with King Jefferson being the next noble to die, being stabbed in the back by Zala Jor-El who promises an end to all kings. Not only does this make Wonder Woman's new mission that much more pressing, but it will likely be even more difficult to bring about a peaceful resolution now that both heads of the rival kingdoms have been slain.

Regardless, it will certainly be exciting to see Diana potentially interact with the other members of the DC Trinity in this alternate medieval reality.
